COVID-19 Swabs

If you have symptoms, or have been to a location of interest, we provide safe, no-contact testing at our Ponsonby clinic.

We offer 10 minute appointments and ensure that your swabs are sent off to the lab on the same day. Swabs are done at our clinic’s back entrance by trained health professionals in a gentle and professional manner.

If you have any of the following symptoms, you should get a COVID-19 swab.

• Runny nose
• Sore throat
• Headache
• Tiredness
• Cough
• Fever
• Sneezing
• Loss of taste or smell
• Mild body aches and pains
• Diarrhoea
• A rash on skin, or discolouration of fingers or toes
• Red or irritated eyes
  

Serious symptoms:

• Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
• Loss of speech or mobility, or confusion
• Chest pain
  

COVID-19, especially the Omicron variant affects different people in different ways. Most infected people will develop mild to moderate illness and recover without hospitalization.

Please note that we are unable to see symptomatic patients or close contact patients inside the clinic to keep others safe.

We have set up a special swabbing tent for this purpose.

When attending your swab appointment;

1. PLEASE WEAR A MASK.
2. On arrival, please park on Ponsonby Road near the Franklin & Ponsonby Road junction.
3. Please make your way to the back of the clinic which can be accessed via the driveway next to Fat Belly Deli near the top of Franklin Road.
4. PLEASE OBSERVE SOCIAL DISTANCING.
5. Please do not arrive early, as there will be other patients before you.
