Commercial & Private Driver Licensing
A recent standard medical assessment is required by the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) during application or renewal of heavy motor vehicles (class 2, 3, 4,and 5) licenses and endorsement (P, V, I, O).
In addition, NZTA requires any individual who:
- Has a medical condition that may impact their ability to drive safely,
- Is 75 years or older, or
- Has been requested by the NZTA
To produce a medical or eyesight certificate supplied by a registered New Zealand health practitioner.
