Covid-19 Antibody Testing

Covid-19 Antibody Testing

We provide point-of-care COVID-19 antibody testing which will assess an individual’s immunity status following a COVID-19 infection, vaccination, or both, by measuring the level of SARS CoV-2 neutralising antibodies in the blood.

Our antibody tests uses blood taken from a finger prick to determine the levels of Binding Antibody Units (BAU), which is the World Health Organisations (WHO) International Standard for evaluating COVID-19 immunological status.

How is the test conducted?

The test is conducted through finger prick capillary blood testing and results are available in around 15 minutes.

How long do antibodies last?

Various studies have indicated that antibodies for SARS-CoV-2 last around 6 months.

Can this test show if my antibodies are from my vaccine?

Yes, this test can measure an antibody response against the spike protein induced by the vaccine. It is recommended to wait 21 days after your most recent vaccine to conduct this test.

Can I still do the test if I am vaccinated and have never presented any symptoms of Covid-19?

Yes, research shows that up to 30% of people who have contracted Covid-19 were asymptomatic.
